EU Cybersecurity Certification Platform

Certification users

One of the missions of the platform is to empower consumers of ICT products and services, with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions about the certified ICT products, services, and processes they consume.

Cybersecurity certifications offer consistent, reliable and repeatable means to assess the cybersecurity features of ICT products, services, and processes. These certificates are issued by independent third-party Conformity Assessment Bodies (CAB) after a rigorous assessment process as established by different EU Certification Schemes. When users choose certified solutions, they are making a proactive choice to prioritise cybersecurity and minimise risks..

Users will find guidance to understanding the different EU Certification Schemes and their respective scopes.

EU Cybersecurity Certificates may provide different levels of assurance and cover a wide range of ICT product, service and process attributes, functionalities, and protection mechanisms. As consumers of certified solutions, users may need to understand the significance of different certificates for any given product or process type.

Certificates further detail the technical composition of certified solutions. Understanding such detail is important for the proper consumption of those certificates.Users can find sources of information and expertise in the platform as:

  • General information and external resources about the implementation of the EU Certification Schemes and related news and events as they evolve once launched.
  • Guidance on consuming EU Cybersecurity Certificates.
  • A catalogue of certified solutions.
  • Guidance on participating in communities or working groups that are defining standards, criteria, or certification schemes rules.
